Niche Articles: To Market Your Niche Product

Posted by Oze Parrot on 2nd December 2005

Writing niche articles that will help you to promote your niche products, is an exciting venture designed to present your niches to the many readers that will see your articles.

People who surf the Internet are all “lookers” and they are looking for something to do, something to read, something to buy or some information.

If people learn about your products from your articles and they need or want one of your niche products, then all they have to do is click the link to your sales page where their need can be satisfied almost immediately.

Niche Article marketing is so powerful that it simplifies the sales process to such an extent that the vendor can determine the products that are in demand and aim his promotions at a targeted audience.

Consumers are delighted with this arrangement as they don’t have to search through a lot of information to find what they are looking for.

By marketing through writing niche articles about the benefits of your products you will be able to reach a large number of people very quickly, which will mean more sales. As the process of niche article marketing is so simple your promotional costs are very low and your articles can be published over and over again, giving your products constant exposure

Niche article marketing is also a great tool for testing promotions of new products that you would like to introduce to your consumers. You can ad a paragraph into your article that is devoted to a new range of products and gauge the interest of your customers from their responses.

If the responses are positive then you can introduce the new range of products and expand your operation.

This is what niche marketing is all about, promoting a product and then introducing a range of ancillary products and then duplicating those products.

Each and every one of your products is a niche and can be promoted through the niche article method, the titles of which are infinite. Just imagine all of the “how, when, where or why” titles that you could apply to niche articles about your products.

Niche Marketing: Article Power

Posted by Oze Parrot on 25th November 2005

Niche marketing is where you find a corner market in a particular marketing group, which you can almost entirely dominate with your product and promotional efforts. The Internet is a vast market place and the best strategy is to develop your own unique product and avoid strong competition.

Niche marketing is an easy way for the home business person to run a profitable business with little or no competition from larger organizations.
There are a few methods that can be used to promote your business, one of which is to write articles about your niche product.

Writing and publishing niche articles about your niche product is a sure fire method of driving traffic to your website and capturing the attention of many prospective customers.

The great thing about having a niche product is the fact that you are not competing against well established marketers, so your marketing efforts will not be lost in a sea of advertising that is promoting various kinds of merchandise. You will in fact, set yourself apart from the crowd and be highly visible in the market place.

Creating a niche product doesn’t mean that you will have to create a new article or invent a new gadget. A niche product can be acquired by separating an item from a group of products and marketing it as a stand alone product.

Once you have decided on a niche product, see if you can find ways of improving the product and therefore gaining more sales.
Write niche articles about the product and draw attention to any improvements that you have made to the product.

Publish these articles, not only on your site, but in other publications such as ezines and press releases.
This method of promotion will improve your product’s image, increase your sales and develop your business.

After you have established your business you will see the benefits of niche article marketing. Write articles about your niche product, about any improvements that you make, about your promotions, about your sales, in fact publish niche articles about everything that you do.

Your sales will increase and the marketing of your chosen product will be dominated entirely by you.

Niche Marketing: Ebooks for Your Niche

Posted by Oze Parrot on 12th November 2005

For those of us who wish to produce an Ebook for sale on our niche sites, there are a few options that we may consider.

For the ones among us that are professional writers, you can write the Ebook yourself as well as publish it.

Or, if you are not so inclined, you can spend a few dollars and hire a ghost writer to write The Ebook for you.

Alternatively, we can search for a suitable book that is in the public domain.

I find that Ebay is a wonderful research tool and I use it to find articles and books that were published before 1923, which means that they are in the public domain.

By scrolling through the categories, sub-categories and sub, sub-categories, interesting public domain books can be found.
After locating a suitable book we will have to establish it’s availability and possible listing with the Interlibrary Loan system.

This listing that we are dealing with here is just an example of how to find niche products, public domain books and how to obtain these public domain books for nothing, or at least very low cost.

First let’s go to our favorite research tool at: listings.ebay.com/

This will bring up a list of all categories and their sub-categories.
Bear in mind that each of these categories, sub-categories and sub, sub-categories, contain niche market possibilities.

Now select: Category- Books

Then under the: Sub-category- Antiquarian & Collectible Books

Scroll down to: Printing Year and click on 1850-1899

Remember that we are looking for books that are in the Public Domain, books printed in this era definitely are.

The window that opens will show a list of 7000 plus books printed in that period, in the search bar I want you to enter this (how to, learn, instructions) include the brackets, the drop down menu on the right should have “Antiquarian & Collectable”.

Click search, this will bring up a page listing only 17 items that are all learning and instruction books.

We can see a book there “How To Know The Wild Flowers” that was printed in 1899, click on the item and, as well as purchasing instructions, we see the sellers details where we can see that he has sold other items that may be of interest to us.

Copy the sellers user name and click on “Advanced Search”, it’s up in the top right hand corner, on the page that opens up click on “Items By Seller”.

On the next page that opens up paste the sellers username in the form box, check “Include Completed Listings” insert “Last 30 Days” then click search.

That will open up a list of items that the seller has sold or is selling.

We find a book listed there that was printed in 1898 “Our Country in War and our Foreign Relations” By Murat Halstead.

Apparently this book has not been sold and the current bid is low, none the less we should go to: www.abebooks.com

This is a site where a group of booksellers list their books and it is a fine source of finding the price and availability of public domain, or any other, books.

Okay, we open up abebooks.com and put the name “Our Country in War and our Foreign Relations” in the form box and click “Find Book”.

In this instance we find that only one book seller has a copy listed and the price is $35

Now the options are that you can buy the book through the ebay seller, the book seller listed with abebooks.com or you can check with your local Interlibrary Loan System and see if you can borrow the book and copy it for nothing.

Make it a habit to search through Ebay’s listings, there are countless opportunities to be found.

Niche Marketing: How to Find Your Niche

Posted by Oze Parrot on 2nd November 2005

You may not pursue an interest that could be considered as a profitable niche market item, if this is the case then you will need to do some research in order to find a profitable product.

In order to do some research then there has to be a subject, right.
It is difficult to glean information from the search engines unless you know what it is that you want to know about.

The first thing that you should do is spend some time at your local newsagent or bookstore and look through the magazine display.

Look for a number of articles on particular subjects or hobbies that strike a note of interest with you.

Just remember that you are looking for a market, that has a number of consumers with a disposable income that are easily reached, and has little competition.

Should a certain group have their own magazine, or there are a number of articles written about the group, then it follows that there has to be a considerable number of members that can be readily approached through the magazine.

Before you leave the bookstore check out the “How To” or “Do It Yourself” type books that may refer to any hobby that you have just noted in the magazine display.

Now that you are armed with a list of topics go to your computer and open up Ebay.

Ebay is a marvelous research tool where you can determine the demand for your selection of topics, the number of sellers for products relating to the topics and, most importantly, the price ranges.

Write down and study the results of this exercise and select one or maybe two products that you are comfortable with and conform to our niche product criteria.

The product must be in demand by enough consumers to sustain your business.

The consumers must have enough disposable income to purchase your product.

There must be a limited amount of competition.

Are there other sites selling products to this market?

Are these sites popular?

Is this market group passionate about the product.

Is it a hobby that controls their lifestyle?

Go to the search Engines and search for information on the one or two topics that you have settled on, see what kind of competition there is and decide on what course of action you should take.

Niche Marketing: Where Is It?

Posted by Oze Parrot on 24th October 2005

The principles of Niche Marketing are based on sound business practices that have been studied and tested in past years by some of the world’s most successful marketers.

I intend to set out for you the knowledge and tools that you will need to determine niche product ideas, study them, select a suitable product, develop the product, profit from the marketing of the product and then duplicate your success in another niche product.

What is a niche market?

A niche market is a group of people that have a need for a certain product that is not popular amongst the majority of consumers but whose demand warrants a continuous, substantial supply of the said particular product.

To put it simply, it is like selling golfing requisites.

Let’s say that all the products that you sell are golfers needs, golf clubs, golf balls and accessories.
The only people who buy your goods are the ones that play golf.

Then it follows that golfers are your niche market.

Should you choose to expand your product list and market other articles to a broader market then certainly you may attract new customers however your marketing competitors will increase substantially.

Niche Marketing is most beneficial to the small business owner as, generally, he does not have the resources to cater for the masses and, more importantly, the larger corporations tend to ignore the niche markets.

The larger corporations overlook the niche markets because they are not concerned with making an extra $5,000 to $10,000 a month, they are looking at turning over millions of dollars per month from a huge market place.

To attract customers to a particular niche market you will have to satisfy a few requirements.

Can people readily define your product and realize the benefits?

Where are the customers?

Do they select a particular advertising medium?
Are they members of a certain club or organization?
What are their online habits?

Can you make a make a profit from this market and is there a limited amount of competition?

Are there enough product consumers available to sustain your business

Does the market have enough disposable income to purchase your product?

Are there any other sites selling similar products to this market?

Are these sites popular?

Is this market group passionate about the product.

Is it a hobby that controls their lifestyle?

You must look for a product that will enthrall people so much that they must obtain all the information that pertains to their chosen endeavor.

Musicians, for instance, must have instruments and accessories, sheet music, song words, sound equipment, speakers amplifiers, microphones . . . it goes on.

There are other aspects of Niche Marketing which I will cover in my subsequent articles.
